Essay 3: Three branches of America's federal government

As you all know, Sujuland is autocratic monarchy, however, Queen Jihee Park decided to make three branches for sujuland's goverment. There are some differences but the way it works is very similar. The idea of having three branches for Sujuland's government came from the United States of America.

America has three branches for its federal government. Those branches are; Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branch.(1) Each branch has different function to it. Let's look at each branch with more details and facts about its branch.

Legislative Branch: This branch is separated into two parts; Senate and the House of Representatives. This branch makes the laws in federal goverment. (2) There has to be a good relationship between the House and Senate. Also, there has to be good relationship between Legislative branch with two other branches. Let's look at Florida for an example, Gov. Jeb Bush and the Florida Legislature is threatening a deal between the House and Senate that would increase oversight of state contracts in light of a string of recent controversies.(4) It shows that they have to agree with everything to make a good federal government.

Executive Branch:
Executive Office of the President:(3)
-The President
-The Vice President
-The White House Home Page
-Offices within the Executive Office of the President
-The President's Cabinet
The executive branch makes sure laws of the United States are obeyed (5). In another word, it enforces the laws in the United States. For America, the president is the head of executive branch just like Sujuland. Since the executive branch is large in America, the president gets help from vice president, who is also the part of executive branch.
It is necessary for executive branch to keep a good relationship with legislative branch, if not it can cause a lot of troubles in federal government and its nation. For example, in america, there are a lot o conflicts between the president and the legislative branch.
"That is the coldly comforting phrase used by people who can't wait until our destructive, intellectually limited president has permanently gone fishing. But the changes that George W. Bush has made to our nation's constitutional firmament may not depart with the first family's bags. His disregard for the separation of powers has so dramatically distorted the office of the president that he may have engineered a turning point in American history."(6)

Judiciaal Branch:This branch interprets the laws in the United States.
"The judicial branch oversees the court system of the U.S. Through court cases, the judicial branch explains the meaning of the Constitution and laws passed by Congress. The Supreme Court is the head of the judicial branch. Unlike a criminal court, the Supreme Court rules whether something is constitutional or unconstitutional—whether or not it is permitted under the Constitution."(7) So, this branch needs court cases to be able to interprets the laws and apply those laws to those court cases.
There are nine judges in judicial branch in America, unlike America's judicial branch, Sujuland has 13 judges, and they are 13 members of Super Junior. They gather and discuss the laws every month in Sujuland, the capital city of Sujuland. In America, the judges are nominated by the president and appoved by Senate, but in Sujuland, the judges are both nominated and approved by Queen Jihee Park. There can be a lot of problems between the executive branch and two other branches. Let's look at Florida for an exmaple again, "The appeals court rejected an argument that Schiavo was denied due process at a trial in 2000. Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge George Greer ruled Schiavo would not want to live by artificial means."(8) It talks about Judge George Greer and the arguement by Schiavo in St. Petersburg.

To avoid problems like one branch having too much power, America created Checks and Balances. By having checks and balances, it can help to limit the powers.(9) Just like America's checks and balances, Sujuland has checks and balances.

Essay 2: Why are there no plastic surgeries allowed in my micronation?

Many people in the world get into accidents and there are times when people have to get surgeries. But...Why do people get plastic surgeries then? Surgeries would be for people with no self-esteem. According to Saeko Kimura,18 in Time Magazine, she said "by having plastic surgeries, I get to be more out-going and I believe guys notice me now."(1) Wait... Is it true? We'll see about my research on some of the facts I've found from the internet. Also, in my micronation, one of the specific laws is "People have to follow 10 commandments from the Bible." If what Kimura says is right, then it is being against my specific law number 3. The first commandment from the Bible says, "I am The Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me."(2) So how does this commandment related to this essay's topic? Well, it says, you can not have ANY other God, before Him. That tells you, you can't love anything more than how much you love God. If you care too much about yourself, then you will eventually find bad parts about your looks, and then you will think about getting plastic surgeries.

Let's look at Korea for example. Many koreans do get plastic surgeries to make themselves look better. (3) In fact, there's even a street called "plastic surgery." What does government of Korea do? Basically, they have no right to say anything about people getting plastic surgeries.(4) Why? because all the citizens have the freedom of religion according to Article 20 [religion and church]. That means there are a lot of people who are not christians and get plastic surgeries. Even in America, it's a common thing to wish to get cosmetic surgery in the future to make themselves feel better about their appearances.(7); but then again, according to the Bill of Rights, America's government has no right to say anything. (8) I've read this article where it talks about the most beautiful girl in the world, she hasnt gotten any plastic surgery and talks about how american people dont have to be thin or blonde to be beautiful because getting plastic surgeries will make them fake.(9) It also lists some parts of cosmetic surgery in details.

Now, let's take a look at some risks about plastic surgery. Plastic surgeons are eager to make money these days. Sometimes, they wont even tell people the truth. (5) For example, a plastic surgeon wont tell people, "This wont last forever." Of course, we all know that the outcome of plastic surgery will look different in 30 years, but the plastic surgeons will say, "it lasts forever." just to convince the customers. So, if the government makes the law that cleary says "NO PLASTIC SURGERY," and lists some of punishment, then eventually people will follow the rule to avoid any kind of punishment.

Lastly, no plastic surgeries allowed in Sujuland, because of infinitively many risks. There are many people in Korea, who know the risks on plastic surgery and still get them done, but why? like I've mentioned it before, people want to be noticed like Kimura. There are a lot of risks on plastic surgery.(6) and even those risks come true in your life, the government is not going to do anything about that. In most of the nations, getting plastic surgery done is citizens' choice, but the government doesn't support people either when people think the outcome of plastic surgery isn't good-looking. Therefore, there should be no plastic surgery in Sujuland.

Declaration of Independence

When there are necessary reasons for the students to confront the teacher on what he/she is doing, the teacher should listen to the students' conception. At this moment, Queen Jihee Park from Sujuland, myself has consummated the idea of declaring an independence from Mr. Donald Pippin(Master) from American Government class and his miconation. To make the class better, to get the rights from American Government class, to show that students DO have suggestions on doing acitivities in the class, and to express our feelings toward our teacher named Mr. Donald Pippin.

We, the students hope this declaration of independence does not affect our grade. Just because we are writing negative things about our American Government class, that does not mean these things are not ture/honest.
All students have the rights to declare an independence and we also have a right to suggest ideas on the activities that we do in the class. We are to learn more about American's government system, not the rules of Pippin.
Every student needs to be patient in the class and keep their opinions to themselves. Why? I believe there's a limit of holding our complaints and opinions to ourselves. To provide WHY we need to declare an independence from Mr. Donald Pippin, let these facts be submitted to the world to share our feelings.

He is a hypocrite. I clearly remember him saying, "I do not like to waste paper, and I try hard to save the amount of paper." On August 29th, 2006, the tragic event happened. Mr. Pippin graded my notebook and I've received 4 C's for not writing in the right order. But... Does he NOT realize my idea of saving the paper? What's the purpose of skipping pages if we have empty pages left from the last rotation? I can hardly respect a person whose a hypocrite.

We have no study guide for our tests and quizzes. Mr. Donald Pippin just tell us to study chapter 1 and 2 vocabulary terms and be prepared for our test. I do appreciate that it is the openbook test, but do we learn anything from it? No.

He gets irritated easily. I understand when students ask 48954038408 questions daily, that teachers DO get tired, but it's not necessay for Mr. Donald Pippin to make "irritated-looking face" at students.

There are times when he tries to finish all the activities too quick, because of the limited time, and students get confused easily and that's the reason why students ask so many questions.

Students always tried to ask questions nicely, but we've received only "irritated-looking looks." Therefore, it is necessay to declare an independence from Mr. Donald Pippin.

By declaring the independence, I believe there will be changes in Mr. Donald Pippin's action to his students. Also, each student will be more recognized by him. With my respect and honesty, and to find the "right" freedom of in American Government class.

-Jihee Park from Sujuland and more people who agree with this Declaration of Independence.

Essay 1: Autocratic Monarchy and more views of Autocracy from history.

There are too many nations to name, and too many types of government to list. One of types of government is called Autocracy, also known as, Autocratic Monarchy. If a nation has Autocracy as a form of government, the ruler gets to be in charge of everything, basically obeying the king or queen’s laws is the biggest part of living to people who live in that nation. What is exactly Autocracy? The definition of Autocracy is a form of government where unlimited power is held by a single individual. (1) Autocracy is the term that is originally from the Greek and it means an individual gets to rule the nation. In Eastern Europe countries, it was very common, since they had kings or queens who ruled the nation by himself/herself.

Now, let's look at the term Autocracy in someone's point of view. Before I begin writing about other person's point of view in the history, let me start off with my point of view on the word "autocracy." When I first heard the word, I knew it was something that has to do with monarchy, because I recognized the prefix "auto." I personally believe it's not a good decision to live in a place where it has Autocratic Monarchy as a form of government. Seriously, Who wants to be ruled by a single person for a long period of time? I mean, if it's unnecessary, who wants to be obedient and gets no freedom? After I've searched more information about Autocracy on internet, I've came up with the conclusion that it is the best form of government for kings of queens, since they get to decide however they want to. Back then, in some of European Countries, the autocracy was a common type of government. Russia was part of those countries who had autocracy as a form of government. (6) Even now, there are some countries with autocratic monarchy as a form of government. For example, Korea had autocratic monarchy as a form of government before Japanese people invaded Korea and separated into two different nations.

Supposedly, autocratic monarchy, also known as totalitarianism was formed to make good communist system in European Countries. (3) The word totalitarianism can break down to two different words: Fascism and Communism.

Now, let's look at some models in history that are related to the term "autocracy." Nicholas II can be one of them, the last emperor of Russia (1894-1917) (4) Nicholas was educated and has an authoritarian personality like his father, Alexander III. If you look at the leaders who were involved in autocratic monarchy system, some of them are educated well and have been taught from their parents who were also the rulers of the nation. Nicholas tended to believe them and the preservation of autocracy remained the guiding principle of his reign.(4)

As I looked through the internet to search about autocracy, I've found the original copy of THE TREW LAW OF FREE MONARCHIES.(5) The document is from the time when King James ruled. I've found it interesting, because at the end of that document, it has some opinions about what their God will think if they do such things. I've always thought the term of monarchy had to do with just one single person whose full of himself/herself without believing in any gods.

It's quite obvious, the popularity of autocracy is going down in this world.(2) Now these days, most of people believe that they have rights to do everything, which makes them not wanting to live under a single ruler.
For example, reading the articles about the countries with autocratic monarchy might make people to go against that kind of government. For example, the nation called Nepal, the king took control over the government (7).

Therefore, everyone has its own opinion about the term "Autocracy," and some country's nation thinks its dangerous, (8) but I've concluded that the form of government such as autocratic monarchy is to form a better nation in the ruler's point of view.
